The European Technical Caramel Association (EUTECA) has represented the Caramel Colour industry in the EU since 1985. Over the years, EUTECA has been a prominent stakeholder towards European institutions on all regulatory matters of relevance for the Caramel Colour industry, while at the same time providing a structure for members to regularly meet and exchange expertise for the benefit of the Caramel Colour profession.
EUTECA’s mission is to improve general knowledge about Caramel Colour and its benefits, and to deliver factual information about Caramel Colour to European authorities, other bodies such as the Codex Alimentarius, and the general public, e.g. consumers or journalists.
EUTECA is a member of ELC, the Federation of European Food additives, Food enzymes and Food cultures Industries.
